My opinion is that Paxlovid taken at standard daily dose for 15 days straight would be efficacious. The bureaucratically recommended 5 days only course invariably results in the virus rebounding due to not enough of the viral bodies being killed off before they start reproducing again after the treatment stops.
A full 15 day course may possibly also prevent long COVID - research needs to be done: there is significant evidence supporting a view that a large percentage of people who contract COVID go on to suffer major disability with long COVID.
