One of the nice things about gold is that it doesn't rust.
It lasts well in air or water.
Yet all the gold in the world ever found or likely to be found would fit on a single quarter acre house block (which are becoming rarer than gold but that's another story) and maybe 25 metres tall.
It's not very exact but that's about the scale of gold.
For gold to embody all the paper wealth out there it would have to be worth millions of US$ an ounce.
What does this mean? I don't really know.
