Another weak attempt to mislead by the Cowboy who is all hat and no Cattle, so I will clarify :It's also a significant departure from the RBA's forecast, which has inflationincreasing to 3.8 per cent in December before falling to 3.2 per cent next Juneand finally reaching the target band in late 2025.
Finance Minister Katy Gallagher said the contrasting forecasts are dueto policies to be unveiled in the budget, which Treasury takes into account butthe RBA can't.
"The inflation projections or forecasts that are done by the RBAare done independently of government," she told Today this morning.
"The Treasuryforecasts, which will be released in the budget, have taken into considerationall of the decisions we've taken in the budget. Obviously that wasn't availableto the RBA.
