I'm a long term subscriber to Macrobusiness and I probably wouldn't put too much credence in their iron ore price predictions. They are always extremely bearish on the iron ore outlook. For at least the last 10 years they have been been predicting the imminent collapse of the iron ore price due to "reasons" and back in 2016 the big Pilbara killa was going to be the Vale Brazilian iron ore mine as seen from the below article.
