Hard to believe WAX traded at 1.045 a little while ago. At 30 April their asset backing per share was 1.0488. They are still paying a half yearly 5c dividend that is 60% franked and the dividend reserve at 30 April was 42 cents. That is over 4 years of 10 cent dividends in reserve.
I jumped in for a sizable (for me) buy at 1.055 (before the further fall) but even at my buy price that 10 cents pa dividend is a rate of 9.5% pa net which, with 60% franking, is 11.6% gross.
Why would anyone sell WAX when it has such a great, well protected yield??
