You could do far worse than back a company like XRF. As you have rightly laid out, it has got a lot of positive attributes, with management that appear to be good stewards of shareholder capital at the helm - the only drawback is the business can be quite cyclical based on the vagaries of the mining cycle, though we seem to be in an upswing for the foreseeable future.
I first bought when it was in the 20.x cents range, but unfortunately did not have the wisdom to keep holding. I then had to buy back about 4x higher some years later. Woe is me!
