Man, it's a strange world and some people really do love to put their bizarre thoughts on display.
You may feel happy believing people who are in the same boat as you, you may feel happy believing messages you like and finding strange excuses to disbelieve information you don't like, but these strategies don't actually serve your best interests.
Information stands alone, regardless of who says it. You're allowed to critically appraise things for yourself using logic and reason rather than basing it on how much you like the person saying it or what you wish was true. Give it a go, no one will stop you!
