NO - not the water ! : Too much trouble getting rid of it

So if they can get reliable gas without having to produce water then that is what they will do

Number of wells - I think STO got what they asked for. Whether that number accounted for the fact that they intend conventional portfolio gas to be part of the input, was not revealed. There is probably a one liner in their EIS somewhere. It makes sense to use all the resources at your disposal. This facility to use a mix of conventional and CSG to feed the LNG trains may give STO an advantage. BG doesnt have any conventional gas yet?


As for the Beach - one of the most frustrating O&G shares ever - it should be put to sleep. An alphabet soup of international adventures and now barking up their shale gas Nappa### trough. While I would prefer STO to take out ESG, if BPT was removed from the register then a lot of BPT shareholders would be very happy to just not have to worry about what direction their ship was turning next. BPT has been in this state for a while and no predator has had the desperation to eat them. It depends how hungry you are and how few the menu choices are. On a ladder of delectability I would put BPT as level with Tripe and ESG at least Rump. I agree that the STO Cooper deal with the JV BPT & ORG , of course yet to be fully agreed especially by the BPT, does indicate some degree of desperation.

Who knows ? It could be a revival of conventional gas, and more recharging of depleted fields using CSG , as ballast for the variable CSG.
