Cherrypicking again...eh.
The bottom line is that the Ukraine has lost 18% of its
territory due to mistakes made in 2014 and later reinforced
in 2019.
Its fine to have ideals but in Geopolitics is more important to have
power..particularly military might.
The Russian invasion was foreshadowed by a year's amassing
of Russian troops on the Ukraine border (not an overnight raid) so during that time
there was ample opportunity to negotiate and no doubt negotiations did
take place then.
The problem now is that both sides have lost so many in this war which can only be justified
by a win....not a compromise....otherwise compromises would mean regime changes, IMO,
and neither sides have an appetite for regime change in the foreseeable future.
And for those who dont think that this is a US/Russia proxy war, then think again.
The US assistance to the Ukraine will feature prominently in the Presidential race
once Trump can distance himself from the lollies to gag a .....well what do you call her?
(and he didn't even wear a condom!!!...perhaps there's isn't one made that small even
in Chinah !!!)
