Hi V10, Agreed on all the insightful points you make - valuable! I did a bit more research and one of PCL's legacy presentations corroborates much of what is being discussed around prospects like Saturn / ? Mopane discovery? and the possible influence of the outer high as an important topographic feature during Cretaceous deposition - see left hand panel below. PCL have labelled the outer high/ marginal ridge as a volcanic high trending NW-SE. From a reservoir quality perspective (good quality), perhaps Mopane's reservoir quality has been improved (winnowing-effects) by nearer-shore current activity. The deepwater sands at Venus would not have had near-shore currents winnowing out the fine clays etc. Just thinking.............
