The US dollar is, according to all the socialists here, being replaced by BRICS. True, China, the largest holder of US paper, is selling but it isn't buying other currencies, it is buying commodities in general and Au, Ag in particular.
Whatever supersedes the USD, it won't be a basket of fiat currencies, it would need some monetary metal to give stability and credibility. I have no idea what that will look like but I'm sure it won't be yuan based.
