The pile of cash is little more than BGS/MLL/FFX/LLL investors have pumped into the country over the best part of a decade. I'm like the junta, I see a relationship between FFX & LLL as my initial BGS era investment was primarily driven by Goulamina.
Sure, we may feel lucky to be getting something but the result is VERY disappointing. I know my own potential return over 7-8 years will be breakeven if I'm lucky. Most were expecting a SP in the range of broker valuations when the mine was up and running.
This may trade well below the potential cash backing or be suspended while we await the full cash payment. Neither are ideal. The third option is the company comes out with a promising deal but let's be honest, all ASX mining deals are promising, the executives are usually salesman first, geo/engineer/BCom second.
