time to respond

a politics forum is a great thing, if used for its intended purpose, but the forum within HC has clearly gone well beyond that. there are regretably far too many assumptions on posters who may support/dispute a particular policy, but not necessarily the party or side of politics pushing that policy.

i first began posting on the forum not because i supported the left or right, but simply because at the time the right clearly had a majority of postings, and i tried to lend some balance to arguments i felt were getting out of hand, because their was insufficient counter argument, or the arguments either side were just plain wrong or misleading. i was also concerned that many arguments werent pushed for national good, but simply for the posters personal good, or the good of their portfolio.
