I’ll have a go at it … If you are referring to Faulty guy and friends what you are dealing with at the very least is group of lefties that have a great desire for highly bureaucratic nanny state. In such a system their continual waffling can be confused with intelligence and allows for greater social ascent in their case. The US of course is a lower tax, highly competitive society with a lower social safety net than here and Europe which makes them unpopular with Faulty Guys. Add to this that the US is the only current superpower and still reasonably religious (mainly Christian) and you have the prefect target for disgruntled lefties and for that mater the far right. I see the lefties and far right as very simular in many ways but in key areas they choose different extremes.
