Of course, but how many ordinary investors can show a track record of making such moves consistently and profitably over any meaningful timeframe?
You can be too clever by half, sell out of something only to not get back into it (more decisions/trades = increased probability you will make the wrong decision), and get chopped up by transaction costs and taxes along the way.
Or you can suffer the many inevitable drawdowns and hold on to dear life for the few investments that have the potential to change your wealth outlook for a lifetime - that's what I was getting at. DDR has already done that for a fair few on these forums, despite its recent challenges.
