Both our cars have rats trying to build nests in the engine compartment; we tried the peppermint soaked cotton wool buds but the buggers were using them in the nests.
We put enough ratsac around to kill an elephant but to no avail.
Two years ago they did $4,000 damage to my wife's car (CX5 wiring harness) and I don't want a repeat.
The vehicles are in a garage but we cannot shut the roller door as my ute is too long; not that shutting a roller door would keep them out anyway.
.
Does anyone please have any ideas.
Notes:
There is nothing in the garage ie no food source of any kind
There is no water
Both vehicles are driven nearly every day (so why would they build nests in them?)
We are in Southern Tasmania
Thank you.
