"$ Surrounded by hungry mills (majority of resource already mining permitted and connected by haul roads)
$ Big Springs attracting plenty of interest as gold price rises."
As far as I could work out BS is located in the far north east of the Nevada Carlin areas with no mining operations to the north or east of it. The nearest mill, to the south of BS, is the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine owned by First Majestic Silver Corp. However after them buying the mine in April 2021 from Sprott for US$470m in scrip they put it into care and maintenance only 22 months later, in February 2023, because of too much cost and not enough rocks. First Majestic is no tiddler, with a market cap of just over C$3b, and has not given up, with them undertaking to drill 25km on their property this year. Would First Majestic be hungry for BS which is right next door to Jerritt Canyon? I think they might prefer to drill out their own property first - JC used to be the biggest mine in Nevada and has produced 10m oz in only 40 years so it has been fertile ground - but I suppose if they could pick BS up cheaply enough they might be tempted. Here at this link is the ASX announcement that the now renamed Warriedar released in 2021 when First Majestic bought Jerritt Canyon.
As for other nearby mining operations being interested in BS ... from what I can gather the remnants of both JC and BS are highly refractive and JC is one of only three Nevada mining operations that utilises roasting to crack open the ore. I could be totally wrong but having the right plant to mine refractive ore is very much a big mine, big company thing which is likely why both Barrick and Newmont totally monster the Nevada mining scene, see at this link. Same goes in WA in that the last time I checked no one is looking to put a plant at Youanmi while people seem bullish about Hemi.
As you can see I am still fence sitting regarding Warriedar and most likely have missed the boat in any case. Them's the breaks. Congratulations to those that caught the recent share price rise and good luck with the WA prospects.
