It was interesting to see the tone of the two new directors at the start of the meeting. They were very combative, which was somewhat in contrast to Botten (who started combative and slowly seemed to become less so). You can only assume that the directors have been hating on shareholders behind closed doors and this spilled through in the way in which they answered questions at the start. Botten then put on an acting performance as the meeting went on by pretending to care about shareholders. However it was clear that, by the end of the presentation when the questioner pointed out that he owned a tiny proportion of shares relative to his huge salary, that he was in fact not aligned with shareholders at all and so frankly how could he possibly care about overall shareholder returns.

As one of the questioners pointed out, give me an incentive and I will show you an outcome.

Thankfully Botten has said that they would publish their STIs on the website, though I won't hold my breath.

They have a lot of work to do to gain the trust, faith and backing of us shareholders.
