Make no mistake about it Joe share market corrections are very very vicious. I have seen grown men crying outside the exchange. I think there is a case for extremely moderate gearing say 1% of your portfolio if tax is a major problem.
There are very few investors that can manage gear properly, and banks simply don't understand share market investing. For thrill and if you're young and your ticker is good perhaps skydiving?
