Investing in pre revenue companies is always challenging. It can bring a exponential yield or your equity could die down as well. So brainchip as a pre revenue company have a great technology but there is no assurance that the same will be commercial success quickly. If you had not thought about consequences of investing in a pre revenue company, I would say your research was not good enough.
Brainchip can be a once in a lifetime opportunity or it may end up as a wastage of resources for others. But it all depends how you think about the company. If you feel your portfolio valuation is low because of brainchip management then think twice coz in investing no one is responsible for your gains or loss but yourself.

I take your point, however you must admit that communication, particularly from Tony Dawe has been somewhat lacking up until now.
