Would anyone be surprised to know that the DOW advance/ decline ratio was exactly zero, yep, not one single company closed in the green.
In DOW points, the five companies together accounting for -243 were Boeing (-90), MacDonalds, Salesforce, Caterpillar and American Express (-30). That means the remaining 25 companies together accounted for -363 (an amazing -14.5 average DOW points for each of them) to get to the DOW close of -606.
I might go and check out what Boeing stepped in last night to cause their 7.55% drop!
