"Our goal is to be the biggest silver producer in the world. We scour the planet looking for good silver mines. It's shocking how rare it is. We're looking to build through acquisition but it's tough, it's really tough. We own positions in a couple of juniors that are active in Nevada and we continually watch the silver space looking for potential acquisitions.
Our shareholders would not be too pleased if we just go buy an exploration project. It doesn't do us any good. For us to move the needle we either have to buy something that's in production or permitted ready for construction. So we're actively looking in Arizona, Nevada, Mexico of course, even outside of the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, we're pretty active."
Got me thinking there would be very few permitted construction-ready projects in Australia of a size to interest Keith/First Majestic.
