The green light for the RN10 rehab and the new(ish) Mining Code is part and parcel of the fact that the Mada govt is serious about forging ahead as a developing nation. It's willing to embrace local and international mining to improve its economy (as are a lot of African countries) - which could be the start for those subsisting in the south getting out of poverty!

With the reduction of royalties from 5% to 2%, if my understanding is correct, for beneficiation (ie local downstream processing) should incentivise a graphite company such as EVG and NextSource to consider localised mechanical shaping (onsite) for the material destined for the battery industry. It would substantially save on road transport and shipping costs also. There is no reason why BAM purification cannot be undertaken elsewhere... as another company I am invested in is pursuing.

I'm surprised that the new Mining Code doesn't seem to include a free-carried stake as other African govts impost. What's your thoughts,@Cranium73 on what seems to be Mada's "new" MC? The royalty rate seems to be on par with the previous regs and is it safe to assume the corporate tax rate is remaining the very reasonable 20% rate?
