Any Geophysicist in the Hot-Copper house?The evolution of the Storm area geophysics mapping showed a major anomaly South of Cyclone on the Induced Polarisation (IP) map, AW1 announcement 26th Feb 2024, Figure 3.
This area South of Cyclone hasn't been explored yet and could potentially hold significant deeper copper given its proximity to the Graben fault system.
However, it appears the recent MLEM survey (searching for shallow copper zones, <200 metres) has failed to register it as a target based on the 21st May 2024 news release.
Possibly the next round of Geophysics using the MLEM techniques to search for deeper copper (stratigraphic level <500 metres) may help identify this anomaly and others along the North & South Graben fault system.

"A recent review and reinterpretation of the historical Induced Polarisation (IP) data has also yielded exciting results and defined numerous targets for the potential discovery of further copper mineralisation (Figure 3, 26/2/2024). IP is an effective geophysical method for the detection of network textured and vein hosted sulphides. The IP data has been reassessed using a ‘metal factor’ algorithm which filters the raw resistivity and conductivity data to define areas likely containing metallic sulphides (including copper sulphide), as opposed to other potential sources of the IP (i.e. clay, iron-oxides). The new imagery highlights a series of extensive IP anomalies that are coincident with the known copper deposits and main structures of the graben fault system (main copper fluid sources). Of particular interest is a newly defined anomaly that is located immediately to the south of the Cyclone Deposit, across the graben fault. The anomaly is interpreted to be at a deeper stratigraphic level (~100- 200m depth) to Cyclone and covers an area roughly the same size as the known Cyclone mineralisation. This anomaly is located in an area of no drilling and may represent a southern, offset extension of the Cyclone copper mineralisation.Multiple other anomalies have been highlighted in this data set, including strong coincident anomalies with the Corona and Cirrus Deposits, and the Thunder, Lightning Ridge, and The Gap Prospects. Detailed Moving Loop Electromagnetics (MLEM) and approximately 12,000m of drilling has been planned for resource expansion activities in the Storm area. These activities will commence during March/April 2024."
