Sounded like explosions to me. I don't think Russia would suddenly decide it would be a good idea to attack a completely civilian store full of people. In the past they have waited till minimal civilians would be present to undertake such high-risk attacks. It seems a strange departure from what we usually see. This suggests to me that there were likely military targets present.
If I am wrong it would definitely be a bad strike by Russia.
