Bogue is exciting alright. I recall when the July 2004 info brochure was released, I did a few measurements off the slide presentation and estimated the areal size of Bogue to be approximately 9 times as big as Chinguetti and even bigger than Tiof. In addition the sands are prognosed to be very thick in the target zone. My back of the envelope estimate was at least 1bil bbls recoverable if HCs are present.

I questioned Scott Spencer about the overlay of green and yellow lines on the slides during the Melbourne presntation in case my interpretation of their purpose was incorrect. I was reasonably reassured by his reply that the thickness of the target sands are indeed large and indicated by the lines. From my memory I think the target zone is approximately 250m. When coupled with the huge area it could be a monster. I would love to see it drilled, and it could well be being left till last to get more data from other drills to optimise the well location...but who knows because neither HDR or WPL are talkative about prospects right now.
