Sure, but it's consumerism, which is terrible for the environment.
If everyone held onto their cars for 10-15 years instead of endlessly cycling through them the reduction in carbon would be far bigger than everyone jumping into EVs.
In fact it would be one of the easiest levers to pull from a carbon reduction stand point.
