Ukraine has the west on it's side just now .....hasn't stopped putin continuing to attack Ukraine
the only way for peace negotiations to succeed is the assurane of force supporting whatever boundaries are agreed on ......this means significant numbers of NATO peace keepers stationed in Ukraine with the promise of more if russia ever attacked again
if there were NATO troops in Ukraine in 2022 I doubt putin would've invaded
are you prpepared to support something more by way of ASSURANCE than putins word/ russias word which he has broken several times ????
that for me is the starting point .....what Ukraine can live with beynd that is another matter but not allowing a them a military to defend themselves or removal of a fairly elected govt are ridiculous asks
