Correct - but you both made a fundamental mistake when you set up the problem - you solved for three unknowns (dog, cat and our poor exhausted little bunny) - hence you set up 3 equations and solved them in the usual way.
But the problem is not as complex as that and there is only 1 unknown (dog+cat+bunny) and only one equation is needed ie
I used to love setting problems like that in exams when I taught maths and physics at Brisbane Grammar (for 5 years a lifetime ago lol) Mummy was not happy when Lil Johnny got the right answer, but did not assess the problem correctly and only got half marks.
