I am not a metallurgist but I understand that the Vittangi deposit is very different from the other 5. While extremely high grade, is not flake graphite & so its applications are more limited. Vittangi is very fine grain which means it is suitable for batteries & graphene but not EG, foils etc. Also I understand you cant combine the 2 types of graphite in a Battery Anode.so it needs its own unique supply chain. Hence why TLG with the support of the EU has very vertically integrated development plans in Europe. I think TLG is good but not what Posco would be looking for as part of their portfolio approach.
