Peter Dutton has firmly attached the Coalition to the US Republican Party and to Donald Trump.
As of last night, a twelve person jury has unanimously
found Trump GUILTY of thirty-four criminal charges brought against him. In the USA a criminal record does not disqualify someone from running for President but it sure opens up one Hell of a can of worms about the Coalition's relationship with Trump's former Presidency and any future one.
Dutton appears to be playing down the US court's findings as if they're due to Trump's unpopularity in the US state in which the thirty-four charges were laid rather than Trump's conduct ... so much for Dutton's view of democratic practices in the USA [IMO, similar to his attitude to Netanyahu's Regime and the ICC].
