A first attempt to calculate additional opex for hauling ore from Adina to Renard = 6.25 USD per tonne of SC5.5 produced
That seems too low to me, what am I doing wrong?
Logistics:
- 80km road @ 50km/hr speed = 1.6hrs between sites
- renard to adina + load 30min + adina to renard + unload 30min = 4.2hrs per round trip
- 2 x 9hr shifts = 4 loads per truck per day
- 4 loads x 12 trucks x 150 tonne capacity = 7200 tonnes / day max
- 2.2mtpa ore to move per year
- say 310 working days / year = 7097 tonnes / day
Costs:
- 2 shifts x 12 trucks = 24 drivers
- @ 65k /yr CAD salary = 1.56m CAD /yr driver opex
- based on Caterpillar 793F, unloaded trip = 28 L diesel, loaded trip = 36 L diesel, @ 1.75 CAD / L = 112 CAD fuel per load = 1.66m /yr CAD fuel opex
- 12 Caterpillar 793Fs @ say 3.5m USD ea = 42m USD truck capex
Opex per tonne SC (phase 1):
- 2.2mtpa @ 1.3% grade and 73% recovery = 380ktpa SC5.5 produced
- 1.56m + 1.66m = 3.23m CAD driver + fuel opex
- 3.23m / 380k = 8.5 CAD / 6.25 USD additional opex per tonne SC5.5
