that isn't how commod stocks work. Feel I've already explained this.

unless it's a tier 1 project so rich it can be built at subdued prices with moderate finance risk - all commod stocks rely on momentum in their underlying commodity exposures both to drive higher sps but also confidence in financing partners.

ie you can level the exact same complaint at svl, ivr, ard etc. Even wider this is why say WHC was a 90c stock 3-4yrs ago and is now $6+ even though it had operating mines etc. All commod stocks have to deal with these momentum failures if their exposures lose price. Which is also why they ramp so hard when they regain it.

as for regal. It's on balance unlikely the intent is to short when they've been granted such a discount entry. Sure - regal gets talked about as involved in some rough 'fun and games' - but ultimately all funds move in their own self interest... and at least in the immediate term that should be to see the price rise.

I think caution is sensible of course.

but it's really less about who is in the stock after a cr- it's about finding the next buyers who want to take it higher because they still see even more upside.

that will swing on mgt telling the story widely and well - and on confidence silver is moving to a sustained higher price. You have to try to ignore how the stock got here or why - everything is future tense.

last night's close above us$30 is a big win in that latter direction - monthly closes are a much more reliable indicator than daily or weekly. That was the highest monthly close for Ag in 10 years.

discerning investors as well as momentum trading systems etc will have taken note I expect
