"Putin has greatly strengthened NATO... you would agree surely? It was becoming and anachronism. Now very relevant unfortunately"

This conflict had nothing to do with NATO, so to have a possibility of NATO troops fighting in Ukraine and killing the Russians, was purely the choice of NATO. To have a possibility of Moscow being hit by the NATO supplied long range missiles is again, purely the choice of NATO. The possibility for Russia retaliating after such an attack by bombing Estonia for example into oblivion, is purely a choice that Estonia made by supplying those weapons to Ukraine.

War is a good business, and that's all.

US defence contractors are expected to be the biggest beneficiaries of the war in Ukraine.

Large defence companies are already seeing their share prices go up as investors anticipate the impact of the war on profits. Thales shares have risen by 35% since the invasion, while BAE Systems shares are up 32%. Lockheed Martin has seen an increase of 14% and AeroVironment 63%.
