In April, some posters were confident a decision would come by the end of June. Now, based on the current evidence, indefinite deliberate inaction seems likely, aligning with the threefold message of ‘no running commentary will be provided’. There seems to be no written proof that Madeleine King promised a decision within 18 months or whatever specific timeframe she may have mentioned to distance herself from Scomo's inaction (please share if you have any such evidence).

Unless the opposition or media raises the issue before the election, it's unlikely the government will make a decision when they have not made a move since NOPTA passed on their decision of the project in October last year. The other question is (and I don’t’ want to sound pessimistic), is it possible that the government simply won’t make a decision at all as there is no timeframe? So, can anything be done in the short term to make a difference / make the NSW government and Ed Husic respond quicker? Any thoughts or different views? Please share. Much appreciated. Thank you.
