Logically thinking....they want to deny the permit hence it was delegated in the first place. The ongoing delay is to find a loop hole to reject it.
the delegation announced 2 years after it occured is called "progress". Buys them another 2 years to release news. If no decision gets made prior to election, i believe this paves the way for liberal to also continue the delay should ALP not get re elected.
i think it was never a political football, just a 3rd party involved who doesnt want cheap gas or competition. Woodside, santos and twiggy would hate for a poor company such as BPH to find gas.
