Loads of people see this as free money from the government and will be swayed to vote for them even though they're paying for it with their own paid taxes. $300 comes from the federal ALP and $400 from the State party. Its clear we are getting closer to elections and votes will be bought We have another 8 months or more to go before any given outcome is possible in the end. To make the election irrelevant Toe should focus on the re-signing of the Ministerial Statement 1051. It's the only definitive move forward IMO.
