You are correct in saying this started before 2022. In fact it started even before 2014, during Yeltsin times to be exact. Putin ignited the imperial wing of the Yeltsin government, pushed out Nemtsov ,bombed Moscow apartments , started Chechnya 2 and grabbed power. Then Chechnya leader Duraev said "today Chechnya tomorrow Ukraine, just before he was killed. Putin killed Nemtsov too in 2015, after he said "Putin is a sick man, he will invade Ukraine no matter what, Russians will come back in body bags and Ukraine will be our eternal enemy". How true was he?
