Hindsight - why try to manufacture in Australia if we can buy from China after having sold them Australian developed technology years ago. Now we have the Labor party (going back to the past) saying hey we can manufacture solar panels in Australia and throwing massive Australian taxpayers money at it. Will it succeed? Wellllllll, European copy tries have stopped manufacturing solar panels because they cannot compete against the Chinese dumped prices. Oh by the way, will the ‘made in Australia’ use all of the minerals mined and processed in Australia? We cannot even approve mining projects in a timely manner!
