OK, your argument is they shouldn’t have bought Who Dat, never had a cap raise and raised debt, then they could afford a dividend out of Bauna operating profits until end of asset life. That’s all well and good, nothing wrong with your logic. But I’m not arguing for or against that case or any other ancient history in the rear view mirror, so you and your ma are talking to yourselves.
What I’m debating with above posters is given current circumstances, should they pay a dividend right now or are there other priorities for an in debt O&G producer/explorer subject to market forces?
Where I assume everyone here is probably on the same page is I don’t think a further acquisition is a terribly good idea right now either… for pretty much the same reasons. Bed down the new acquisition, get lucky with the drill bit and pay down the debt… then see where we’re at.
