Hey iron_mike.......lets just say there are far more people out there that would agree with you rather than disagree with you IMO, given the primary vote numbers at the last election. This Goverment has become more interested in self propomotion that Governing. A bit of a peak at the tired 13 year old Labor Government in Qld is a great example. The Bligh photos in the obligatory Hard Hat that we endured for months and months as they tried to sell her as a person "involved" in infrastructure development. Well that didn't work so she tried out being a "checkout chick" to connect with "real" people. Give us all strength, now Gillard loping all over the world at our expense sending family snap shots back for us all to see. As you wrote, no other "Leader" has to have their partner draped around them in the official photos. And yes, I witnessed Timmy giving the Royal wave from the door of our Government jet as he was whisked away for a tax payer paid overseas trip. And why didn't he go to the "high Tea" with all other first partners? But, I am so glad he got time away from selling hair spray to attend this function on our behalf.
I too have to change channels when these clowns grace our screen acting as if they actually have a clue what they are talking about. I am just glad my kids are grown up and not going to a school to have utter rubbish foisted on them in the "new" carriculum. At least they have been able to make up their own minds how and what to vote for! Pitty the grand kids though.
