It was 'Kiev' when I did a unit on Ukrainian history. It was even 'Kiev' for Biden until the official name switch became part of the PR. Even the newly-renamed 'Odesa Film Studio' still has remnants from it's former life, referring to itself as 'Odessa Film Studio'. It really doesn't matter. Both versions are understood.
