Truth is a spill here is very unlikely to be successful in the absence of institutional support, sadly institutions won't get involved as the industry opinion of SYA is that it is un-investable in its current form. Getting retail buy in is nearly impossible as most are just punters who aren't sophisticated enough to understand what is going on, to this group any suggestion that management needs to change is a suggestion that their investment decision was a wrong one. You only need to look at those who lost on AJM to see a large cohort that would rather be broke than admit they were wrong, or rather misinformed. Sad reality is that less than 30 percent of the register will vote anyway, and proxy hunters will also be employed at shareholders expense to pick off the oldies and mums and dads to harvest some proxies for the chairman.
Why is the chairman hunt and CEO hunt taking so long? I have seen many theories shared but the reality is they are looking for non independents who can be sold off as independents, was the marlin offtake looking for a board seat? can't allow that you might lose control. Any potential CEO sounded out that realized they would be a Manchurian candidate would run a mile.
