@Value4983843; US President Biden recently imposed a 100% import duty on Chinese made EVs - upsetting Musk whose Teslas are made in China.
The reason for that is simple - China has become the World's biggest market - NOT the USA. Of course, Chinese made EVs absolutely dominate its market.
With the Coalition on the Opposition benches, Australia has chosen NOT to lick Biden's rear end due to the very real risk that would bring for our exports to China. That means Australians can buy the latest, greatest and most popular EVs on Earth for much less than the unreliable FFGGs being dumped here by the USA.
