damn right NDIS is riddled with dodgy dealers. as I wrote "govt should be monitoring for irregularities." but of course the LibNat govts didn't due the due diligence required to ensure taxpayer money was being fairly spent and not being stolen/rorted.
NDIS does direct that all money disbursed is spent only on specific therapeutic needs to assist with development of independence. I don't see a problem with Govt taking a diligent approach to spending money. surely the LibNats should be held accountable for the rorts and theft, not just NDIS but also the "consultants" they hired to replace the public servants they sacked.
the point I'm raising is the historical neglect of such diligence. now, fortunately, we have what seems to be a diligent govt doing the necessary audits of NDIS and Public Service. hopefully this will result in better monitoring, whether an independent body or the Audit or Productivity Offices.
yes "accountability" was rare under the LibNats.
