it's not that it's just a battle - it's a horrid thing
all life depends on the destruction and consumption of other life --------- and much of it, is sentient life
take the lobsters and crabs etc that we put into hot water alive - how bad is that?
take the langoustines - we catch them, keep them alive in the air for days, then stick them in boiling water
razor clams - we catch them, keep them alive for days, then stick them in a pot with hot wine and herbs
all these creatures feel pain - and yet, most humans are oblivious to their suffering and those who are aware - choose to ignore it and do it anyway
