It is more the shareholder wealth destruction that Mr. Fulker oversaw in his capacity as COO from 2 November 2012, and his additional CEO appointment on 3 November 2013. The class action was against KPMG for providing misleading advice to the board which inflated DML's assets by 40% - there's a whole hostile takeover story attached to this.

Quite simply, DML never hit their operational targets, that's on management.

So yes, I do put this as a black mark against Mr. Fulker. The excuse that "he got dealt a bad hand" doesn't quite cut it.

That said, this most certainly does not abolish from his many other years of experience that most have noted.

Do I prefer Bob to Lachlan? Yes. He may not the Bill Beament level rockstar that one would have hoped, but that underground experience is no doubt proficient enough to handle Kanmantoo Deeps if/when that comes to fruition.

He's been dealt 4 cards to a flush this time, let's see how Bob plays it out.
