I liked the language and tone used by Richard Cottee...it sounded to me as though the deal with Shell is all but done insofar as what remains is to structure something (by way of equity or early access to gas etc) acceptable to both parties. In particular he made a point of commenting about the gas reinjection being a major factor in achieving the full extraction of condensate in the shortest time. But we also know that gas reinjection is significantly more expensive a process. Therefore I am thinking a deal may entail a long extension to NXS allowing early access to gas for Shell so it becomes a conventional gas/condensate project.

Of course a deal could still fall through, but my take is that by Christmas we will have something major as far as a milestone is concerned and that beyond it we will see some real action in relation to the FID etc. Upon signing of an extension I'd expect to see around another 20c added to the price. I'm interested in thoughts of others on the potential price immediately after such a deal.

In the event no deal is done by Christmas then I imagine a retest of 40c will occur (perhaps 38.5c).
