Israeli citizens may remain reservists for more than two decades after completing their initial service.
U can be born in Australia and still be a citizen of Israel. Monash didn’t have that privilege of dual citizenship!
We should utilise these Aussie born military personnel if their initial military training was in Israel.
Force them to become compulsory reservist in our Armed forces until they reach the age of 40. That is along the lines prior to the current conflict
If they were military minded one would expected them to join our defence forces!
Should they be considered as being mercenaries and should taxpayer be compelled to treat them for injuries incurred overseas?
Currently any of our citizens can fight for any nation as long as they are an acknowledged government and not deemed as terrorist. Syrians can fight Assad and it is legal.
