I've always been of the view that as soon as you play for a country once you reach 18, that's it. Unless that country no longer exists such as Yugoslavia & then you nominate part one of the new countries.
If you qualify for multiple countries that's fine, choose whichever one you want or get accepted to but don't chop & change just because it's convenient. It denigrates the whole notion of national pride.
